HOW I WENT FROM DRAB TO FAB


Hello beautifuls for the past few weeks I've been crushing on myself most especially when I look into the mirror admiring my fresh skin and something dropped into my heart telling me to write about my journey so far concerning my skin most especially my face. Sometimes last year I broke out so terribly that I began to lose my self confidence, I freaked out was unhappy and didn't just know what to do. At first I went to the hospital got some antibiotics all to no avail, then I started to do a research, was reading online about both products and natural remedies and because I'm trying to be budget friendly I decided to take a risk by trying the natural way....... One of the first things I tried out was the turmeric face mask. I mixed turmeric with lemon and applied on my face for twenty minutes before washing it off with lukewarm water, after that I applied my acv toner and used olive oil to moisturize. Pretty simple! I did this consistently for like a week or two nonstop before I later reduced my masking to thrice a week. Asides all this I also started steaming my face and doing a full body cleanse by drinking lemon and water,  juice cleanse( which I did for 7 days) and many more. 
After a while, I stopped the turmeric mask and acv toner to opt for other ingredients and started incorporating products into my regimen as my skin got used to them. Sorry I can't remember some products, but the ones that did stand out was the  clearasil spot control soap, I also tried the palmer's skin success toner(for dark spots) sebamed face toner and back to ACV. I know that's a whole lot of work. But hey, I'm not just going to be all talks and no proof to show cause I could go on and on about my face regimen meanwhile watch out for my updated regimen in my next post as I would be stating  the current face regimen that I'm following

KEY TO SUCCESS PART 2


Hey there, how are we all doing? I am sure things have been going on well and as usual, we are all trying to hustle. We no lazy nah. We all keep moving from one place to another trying to make ends meet. Mehn…the hustle is real. Ok…. Let’s get down to business, I opened my blog and I was reading old posts and something dropped to my heart…...It’s time to do a part 2 of this”. So yeah, here you go. We all know that in life one needs to keep PUSHING until you get to your peak. Many people have this misconception about money, wealth and success taking them all to be the same thing.  I am here to debunk that statement, though some people think that success is when you buy a car or a house or even get married, how incredible! While for others it could mean wealth, a position or even acquiring a mansion etc, the list is endless. I do not know what success means to you, but to the best of my understanding success is the status of having achieved and accomplished an aim or objective, being successful means the achievement of desired visions and planned goals, true success is measured by how happy one is, which is why this two words should not be misinterpreted.
According to late coach John Wooden, he defined success as a peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing that one has made an effort to do ones’ best to become the best that one is capable of becoming which requires maximum effort.
To be successful you have to be PASSIONATE about what you do, if you don’t love your work, just know that things would crash land before it even starts. Also, make it a habit of setting goals and when you want them achieved, yea I know I’ve stated this before but I’m repeating it again, BE PASSIONATE!
 Another thing to consider is having a mentor that can guide you and help you actualize your dreams with true sincerity. If you love to write just like me look for a reputable author that can guide you, if  it is cooking, seek around for a pro chef, just be determined and focused about what you what you want to do.
In addition, make sure that your sources are reliable so that your target audience would not question your integrity, be sure of what you put out and make sure it’s of good quality in order to have a good reputation, remember it is only with determination that one can achieve SUCCESS! EMBRACING POSITIVITY


Hello darlings, while sitting in my space and enjoying my time on the internet reading articles and other bloggers page my ears stumbled upon a conversation between two people in my office. Yea I run a day job from 8.am to 5.pm.  It all had to do with what kind of news travels faster, bad news or good news.  I sat down there thinking and imagining it and I realized one thing and that is the fact, that bad news does travel faster. Within me, I began to imagine why that is and why is it that we always wait for our next-door neighbor to make a mistake or fall so that we can carry it to the next person. Why is it that we find it hard to be happy for the person beside us. I have seen many situations like this and I am like "why"? Is it necessary? Is it worth it?  As colleagues in my office were discussing about the success of a 7- day trip which they embarked on, a certain man who didn't go with them was wishing them success and said, "let's thank God for journey mercies and nothing bad happened because I  know that if something happens the whole office will hear about it"? Within me, I was like "chai".

My  dears lets be happy for people around us, lets appreciate ourselves and not forget where we can meet tomorrow life is too short for cheap gossips and bickering, thereby waiting for another man’s' downfall to occur. Please let us put ourselves in other peoples’ situation before jumping into conclusion. Let love and positivity rule your heart, relate with people open-mindedly and avoid backstabbing them. Let us share peace; bad news brings nothing but hurt, heartbreak, hypertension, distrust and so many other vices. That is why our English people want to give an information they would ask “bad news or the good news” and the recipient would reply would reply “the bad news” first because they know the bad news is just a stepping stone to the good news. This world would be a better place if only we can all live in togetherness, like I said earlier life is too short and let’s make the best of it; forgive those who have offended you, let go of that hurtful past and see how changed your life would be, enjoy!

KEY TO SUCCES PART 1


Hello ladies and gents, I know it seems I’ve taken the longest break since my last post, I’ve been a hella busy with stuffs so personal to me that I just can’t put on hold, that doesn’t mean that my heart isn’t with you or the blog. Each time I sit to relax I think of what I could do or write just to lift the spirit of someone out there. One thing I keep saying to myself is that life isn’t tough and wouldn’t be for me ‘cause whatever you profess is what would happen. Positivity is KEY in whatever you wanna achieve in this life.

Are you one of those people who say I don’t have money to eat or I don’t think I can make it or God has forgotten me I can’t get there? Look here stop that immediately else I would be angry with you, lol. Actually guys on a serious note it’s time to get up and make the most out of yourself. It isn’t easy to get to the top in life but you can work yourself to the top. It’s simple! Ok not as simple as it is but hey peeps we all need to start from somewhere. If you are passionate about the academics you can start by enrolling in an adult learning, if you don’t have the financial capacity to do this engage in a handwork that would enable to begin at least. After all there a lot of people who do odd jobs just to scale themselves through?

Are you one who has graduated but yet no job? My sister, my brother don’t just sit down watching TV, get up and go out there! Even if you have an uncle or aunt or someone that is going to help you they won’t bring an employment letter to your house, abeg no dull yourself. If you don’t pester on you would not get anything. Funny enough this days I feel so happy when I see a lot of young people doing well for themselves, the same way some are developing themselves the same way some are soo lazy. All fingers are not equal all brains are not the same, says me. The fact that someone might be more intelligent than you doesn’t make you a dullard or never do well prove to them and the society that no particular condition is permanent.

Another thing to take note of is what to do, don’t do things because others’ are doing don’t do something just because you feel if you do it you would make money from it, most people who start their life with that kind of mindset crash land before it even starts, do something because you are passionate about it . One thing I always tell people close to me is that the money would come, be calm develop yourself(with books, attending seminars that centers around what you love)  and things would work out in its own time don’t run more than your shadow.

I would also say seeking guidance before venturing into something is very very important, most especially for young people. Carry your family along it could be an elder brother or sister mum or dad so that they can help you, if you don’t want to talk them talk to someone you can trust, someone more advanced than you  that could be of help. Remember that no man is an island and you can only achieve when you have people that can push towards your success.

Just before I go I want to let you know that life isn’t a bed of roses and you can only be an exceptional youth when you put in hard work and prayers towards what you’re doing, till my next post hold onto this piece and enjoy!

HOW TO HANDLE DEPRESSION


Hello peeps, hope we all had a swell day? Today my write-up would be based on an area I’ve been itching to talk about for a long time now but never had the chance to and that is having to deal with our day to day worries which causes a break down in our health and that is DEPRESSION. Yes I said depression, don’t worry this post isn’t going to be something boring but I would make it enjoyable for your viewing, hence you can make apply them and make the best out of yourself, now let’s get down to business!
The top most on my list is learning the act of encouragement; we all need to learn how to encourage ourselves though not an easy task but it is needed; it doesn’t matter whether you’re the one going through a rough time or a friend, relative or even your enemy, they all need someone to lean on in times of difficulties.  Most people who often experience depression get suicidal and that’s because they lack love, care and support from people around, no matter how seemingly stupid their ideas maybe they still want to be heard and appreciated regardless.  The society we live in today is one where people are being judged and relegated which should not be. So if you happen to have someone going through bad times try to be with them  as much as possible so that they don’t end up doing things that they might end up regret.
Another thing I would love to point out is to try to take things off your chest. When you allow issues take the best part of you it affects your health, mind body and soul. Yeah I know a lot is going on around us as people, from society to family, finances, you name it, the list is ever endless but we need to take a deep breath and calm down in addressing our issues. Remember the catchphrase that says ‘whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’’, so try to be strong and conquer your fears and worries.
Relaxation and social activities is another thing that I believe is crucial in dealing with depression, how?  You might want to ask me, do you know that when your mind is free and you let go of issues disturbing your peace you tend to feel relaxed and less pressured, this can be achieved if you have a therapist around you or someone you know you can really trust that can be of help.  Meditation, yoga and exercises can also help to reduce stress and severe depression from occurring. In addition to that, being in a sociable environment with people of like minds by engaging in fun stuffs like games, attending social gatherings,etc is beneficial for ones' health and would create a happy place.

Above all, it is possible to apply all these and still not be in a happy place if you don't have God in your life. The Bible says cast all your burdens upon HIM. Hence when you bare it all to the throne of Grace you're assured of total freedom and eternal peace.So with this very few tips I wish you a journey into a stress-free and healthy life. till i see you in my next post, do enjoy this lovely piece.

WATER FOR WEIGHT LOSS?

Water for weight loss? Water they say is a free commodity and it is essential for human existence. As a human being we all can do without food for a certain period of time, but water? Really peeps I doubt. It is often said that when you drink water consistently one can reduce a certain amount of weight but we forget to realize that the reality here is drinking water the correct way. If you go online and read a thousand and one articles on how water can reduce weight, you would just keep confusing yourself the more that’s why I’m here to enlighten you more about how you can adjust your body system in consuming the right amount of water needed in a day. Water is said to boost the immune system amongst various other things, my dear NOT carbonated drinks o, and I mean pure clear room temperature water. Cold water is NOT good; I repeat cold water ain’t good for you. The first thing you should take upon rising from bed should be a glass of warm water to start your day; you don’t necessarily need the ginger or the lemon or honey. The water alone is enough. Another thing to note is aiming for 6-8 glasses of water in a day; I’m sure this isn’t new to you; you must have heard it all over the place, either from a friend, relative or even your physician. For me I take more than that room temperature which is good but I choose to leave the house with a flask with hot water and sip it throughout the day, it helps detoxify and flush out toxins from the body and it works for me. Hence, do whatever works for you but make sure you are consuming water at regular hours; you can download apps or have a timer to let you when you should drink your glass or bottle as needed. Yeah, I know I mentioned something about lemons; you’re free to add them but make SURE that your water intake is achieved. Another thing to put in mind is the fact that taking a glass of water before meals is VERY VERY important, as it makes you feel full thereby making you to eat less. I would advise that you take your water before meal hot but not too hot to burn your tongue (laughs). Regular intake of water balances the body fluids as our body is composed of about 60% water. The functions of these bodily fluids include digestion, absorption, circulation, creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients, and maintenance of the body temperature. Finally, as you start so you should end, when mother nature calls by night for you to rest try as much as possible to drink a glass of an averagely hot water, this might only cost a few trips to the bathroom at night but it is definitely worth it. In all, doing this with a calorie controlled diet together with exercises would help a lot. Till I come your way next week, enjoy!
